I like the approach of this recent PhD by topic, and spirit.
I am not sure his future + prescription (methodological) side of view is entirely well placed, but I like many of his idea of looking at world city trends (phenomenon alike around different points of the globe), rythyms (growing number of people on bikes), degrowth (slower speeds and non-utilitarianism conviviality) and life styles (other changes in view of daily activities and political positioning).
